Character Profiles
Our Intrepid Heroes
Alexander Townsen:
Alex is a scoundrel, womanizer, coward and a thief who disarms potential opponents with charm, good looks and – when those fail him – a Gun Sword. He’s not likely to ever face you in a fair fight. However, in spite of his arrogance and amoral habits, his villainy losses control and his heart takes over. These “lapses in judgment” happen just enough to keep him in the Hero category. He is the Co-owner of the Aristarchus – their nautical steamship. Former member of the “Orbit Society”.
Red Darling:
A woman before her time. A Victorian Amelia Earheart, she is an amazing pilot and daredevil. Red is more comfortable in a white knuckle death defying chase then in a dress. She is also the Co-owner of the Aristarchus. She’s the champion for gender rights, however her temper often hinders her cause.
Reginald:
“Regi” never speaks, other than an occasional sigh. Nobody has ever seen him out of his diver’s suit. Despite his silence – or perhaps because of it, Regi is often more aware reality. Regi is also much stronger than the average person. He is the inventor and mechanic of the team, repairing and creating new gadgets and gizmos.
Lieutenant Victor Benson III:
Former British army gunsmith who joined the team when the outpost where he was stationed was attacked by unknown forces. Victor currently is AWOL from the Army but is presumed dead. Victor and Alex often do not get along.
Rex:
Every ship needs a dog. Rex is Loyalty incarnate – and perceives the protection of Red as his reason for living.
The Air Pirates
Sara:
Captain of the Air Pirates. She’s tough, beautiful and ruthless. She is currently in love with both her husband (Bjorn the first mate… pun intended) and Xue the ships Mechanic/Navigator.
Bjorn:
Bjorn is descended from an unbroken line of Viking Warriors. He is a berserk-er, known for his violent outbursts, but never towards members of his ship or family. His loyalty is as unquestionable as Rex’s. Bjorn dislikes using ranged weapons of any kind – but is able to use pistols. His preferred weapon is his bastard sword and his bare fists.
Xue
Xue is the ships mechanic and navigator – she keeps the ship in the air and on course. She appears innocent. Appearances are deceiving – she has traveled the world and has seen many things. Xue is the fastest, most accurate – and last – knife thrower you will ever meet. She is in love with both Bjorn and Sara. No one is complaining about this arrangement – especially not Bjorn!
